Teeth whitening gels are gradually replacing the toothpaste that we use. Though the whitening gels are somewhat different than normal tooth paste, people tend to use teeth whitening product even if they do not need it. These are hydrogen peroxide based gels. There is common misconception among a vast majority of people that higher concentration of hydrogen peroxide means more whiteness. In fact, these high concentration peroxides should be administered only by a qualified dentist after a complete analysis of teeth and its texture. It is possible that your teeth do not require that high dose of peroxide. You might end up causing some permanent damage to your teeth. In such scenarios just consult your dentist to minimize the damage.

Teeth gels for whitening are only effective if it suits you. Expert advice from your dentists should be sought before using these gels in place of your regular toothpaste.
